Questions teachers ask
Is The Dime aligned to the NC EPF standards?
Yes. Each daily issue lists the NC Economics and Personal Finance objectives it covers, and every lesson worksheet is tagged too. See lessons by standard.
Does it cost anything or need student accounts?
No. It's free, and students don't sign up for anything, so there's no student data to approve.
Where does the news come from?
Each issue is drafted from the previous trading day's market data and news reports, checked against those sources, and lists every source at the bottom.
Can I use it with a sub?
Yes. Class mode runs itself on the projector, and the worksheet has an answer key on its own page.
Who makes it?
The Dime is made by a North Carolina high school student, for EPF classes.
